Zaha Hadid's building in Baku: it's as if the city decided to take a breath

#hellohalloween

When you stand in front of this building, it seems like the concrete has ceased to be solid.
Everything around you flows—lines, walls, even the air. There are no corners, no familiar shapes. Everything is smooth, like a wave frozen for a second.

This is the Heydar Aliyev Center, designed by Zaha Hadid, an architect who knew how to transform buildings into movement. The white surface shimmers, reflecting the sky and sun, and in the evenings, it turns pink and gold. Inside, there are museums, exhibition halls, and vast spaces where you want to walk slowly to take it all in.

📍 How to get there
The center is located in Baku, on Heydar Aliyev Avenue. It's a 10-15-minute ride from the Old City by taxi or bus #5, 11, or 125. Entrance to the main part of the center costs about 15 manat (approximately $9), and tickets are sold right at the entrance.
