Land in the Sea

Tanah Lot, which roughly means “land in the sea,” was mesmerizing to see. We arrived just in time to catch the sunset and admired the rock formation where the Hindu temple sits as the sun disappeared behind the sea. The area feels very spiritual, with temples and statues and worshippers around. There are some walkways down the the romantic beach as well. We had dinner at one of the restaurants up top after the sunset, and the people there are so nice. Tanah Lot is much further away from other tourist centers in Bali, so make sure to book a driver to and from the site.
