This temple is one of Bali's most famous temples, and is a Hindu temple that was registered as a World Heritage Site in 2012.
The temple's name means "beautiful garden," and as its name suggests, it is a very beautifully maintained temple.
There are many multi-tiered towers, and the higher the tower, the higher the god enshrined.
The tallest one has an 11-tiered roof.
During festivals, believers are allowed into the garden. Tourists can walk around the low wall to look around.
There is also a Barong, the sacred animal of Balinese Hinduism, on display. I felt it was a very mystical place.
The entrance fee is a modest 30,000 rupiah.
This is a must-see when visiting Bali. Please come and visit.
Opening hours: 8:00 to 18:15
Address: Jl. Ayodya No.10, Mengwi, Kec. Mengwi, Kabupaten Badung, Bali 80351
Price: 30,000 rupiah
