Ubud is the heart of a Balinese culture. The more developed of tourist locales in bali. What it represents is the best of Bali. The spirituality, the people, ancient temples and a beautiful culture. No doubt there are other such villages in Bali. But for some reason Ubud stands apart.

While it does get fairly touristy, crowded or even unappealing during certain days of the year. I mean the peak seasons. There are things here that are not to be missed. Some corners of Ubud almost feel's like it is a boutique designed by nature. Speak of places that are naturally beautiful and Ubud comes to mind.
