Capella Ubud, Bali

Capella Ubud, Bali is nestled deep in the Tegallalang area of Bali, surrounded by a picturesque rainforest. It takes about a 2-hour drive from the airport, but the hotel offers comfortable airport transfer services, providing water, snacks, and Wi-Fi in the vehicle—truly a luxurious travel experience. 🚌
From the moment you enter the hotel gate, you feel an unparalleled warmth, with every staff member’s smile offering the most sincere welcome to guests. I especially love their welcome ritual—the water blessing ceremony is really meaningful, paired with specially scented towels and unique welcome drinks, making you feel very cozy. Upon check-in, the hotel also gifts an adventure kit, which includes mosquito repellent, soothing essential oils, trekking poles, and other very practical items—so thoughtful! 🛎️
Each tent at the hotel has its own unique style. Crossing the suspension bridge into your private tent feels like stepping into an adventure. The tent’s interior design is quite exquisite, with all facilities hidden inside unique cabinets—opening each cabinet reveals a surprise! The toilet design, in particular, is as luxurious as a king’s throne. 😄 You can listen to the rain inside the tent every day or enjoy the sunshine on the balcony, quietly soaking in the sounds of nature—truly authentic and healing.
If you worry about mosquitoes bothering you while staying in the rainforest, you can rest assured. The hotel’s mosquito protection is very thorough; after several days of stay, I didn’t get bitten once, which is a blessing for those prone to mosquito bites! Additionally, the hotel’s dining is quite good. I recommend trying the omakase at Api Jawa restaurant—each dish is worth savoring. 🍽️ The hotel also offers a variety of activities, such as the “1970's Scenic Drive,” where you can ride in a convertible, and even take photos at the popular swing spot—an absolutely unique and unforgettable experience. 🚗
However, there are a few minor drawbacks. Although the hotel is very luxurious, its location is somewhat remote, requiring a half-hour drive to the city center. Also, some activities are not very suitable for older family members due to the terrain. But if you love nature and seek a distinctive luxury experience, Capella Ubud is definitely worth a try! 🌿
