This was our second visit using IHG rewards nights, and the second hotel of our Bali trip. The property is grand and offers numerous great features: charming gardens, a day spa with a sauna, steam, and spa accessible to all guests, a running track, and an incredible breakfast buffet in a lovely setting. We checked in around 3:30 pm after traveling from the Westin Resort and Spa in Ubud. The check-in went smoothly, though we did wait a bit before being shown to our room. Room 3226 is older but well-kept. We don't expect much with rewards nights since we no longer have high IHG status, so the balcony with a partial view of the pool and ocean was nice. Unfortunately, the sheets and one pillow had an unpleasant odor, which disrupted our first night's sleep. This was fixed after requesting a linen change and extra pillows the next day, and the following two nights were comfortable. Housekeeping and turndown services were satisfactory. Dinner at the sunset bar was okay, with the view being the highlight. Breakfast was wonderful, and the coffee was excellent. The food at the garden restaurant and room service was hot, fresh, and well-presented. We had massages that were okay but not outstanding. However, the spa facilities, especially the sauna, were fantastic and memorable from our last visit! The hotel is well-staffed, though many staff members seemed more interested in chatting than providing excellent service. This was noticeable at the pool, where towels stayed on loungers long after guests had left, and in the garden restaurant during dinner. Overall, it was a pleasant stay, and we'd probably return due to the great value of IHG points!
