For this Bali trip, we chose to stay at the Airbnb BirdHills Bamboo House, located deep in the Sidemen village in eastern Bali.
🐾 This place is incredibly untouched, with well-preserved ecology and minimal signs of development. The caretaker manages seven bamboo houses nestled deep in the forest, and this is one of them.
🪵 During our stay, we had two houses: one treehouse and one bamboo house 🎋. The bamboo house is entirely constructed from bamboo, while the treehouse is built with wooden planks and structured around two large trees. The two houses are connected by an outdoor kitchen and dining area, as well as a suspension bridge. Each house also has its own outdoor shower and toilet.
🐜 The entire setup can accommodate up to four people, making it a great option for traveling with friends. Plus, with the ability to cook, the house becomes a lively and enjoyable space.
Many might worry about insects and mosquitoes, but with mosquito nets provided, there's no need to be overly concerned. In the outdoor areas, you'll often encounter Bali's signature ants and geckos, but they are completely harmless to us.
Lastly, the caretaker prepared a Balinese-style coffee for us at breakfast—don't miss out on it!
💰 Price reference: HKD $2000/night
🛖 House name: Treehouse Bamboo Sidemen with breakfast
