Yizheng Drum Tower, located in the center of Zhenzhou Town, the seat of Yizheng Municipal Government, was built during the Chenghua period of the Ming Dynasty. It has a history of nearly 600 years. After years of wind and rain and many years of repairs, it still retains its original appearance.
The double-eaved, nine-ridged, hip-and-gable roof structure with a corridor is full of ancient charm and majestic and solemn. There is an inscription under the drum tower recording the historical facts of Japanese pirates invading the southeast coast. It is of great historical value and is one of the three existing drum towers in Jiangsu Province.
