Just 11.5km away from Brunei International Airport, this palace is the official residence of the Sultan of Brunei, Hassanal Bolkiah, and the seat of the Brunei government. The palace is located on a leafy, riverside sprawl of hills on the banks of the Brunei River.

This palace is the centre of state occasions and royal hospitality. One of friends of mine saying that this palace is a must pitstop when you are in Brunei. We are waiting for the royal’s family at the main gate but too bad they did not show up that day. However, we are so amazed with this palace.

It is very big and it was surrounding with great landscapes over the gate. This huge palace just located besides the main road. Easy to stop by and there is a parking space provided for the visitors to stop for awhile to take some pictures.
