I am very happy to be in Thailand again after seven years. The last time I came was to Koh Samui 🐠. It was my first time to attend Songkran Festival, a very special way of celebrating. Apart from tourist spots like Siam, Silom, Khao San Road, etc., I found that many places had entire streets with their gates locked and no one around. Buy 10 rolls for 5500 baht for a massage, one roll can massage for 2 hours😱
Transportation strategy: I flew in from Bangkok and out from Chiang Mai (first time in Chiang Mai), and bought super cheap tickets on the domestic route 😱. Basically rely on the MRT and taxis🚕. Taxis have been quoting random fares and rarely use the meter these days. Another way to call a car is using Grap. You can use Line Pay to pay for the MRT
Must-see attractions: There are basically three major battlegrounds for splashing water; the first is Khao San Road, the second is the square in front of Siam, and the third is Silom, which is best visited in the afternoon when there are more people.
Recommended hotel: I stayed at Heritage this time, which is right next to the MRT station, so it’s super convenient
Must-eat food: I booked afternoon tea at W hotel one day. There is a historic building next to it that has been converted into a restaurant + afternoon tea + bar. Recommended midnight snack: TEE YEN TA FO’s dry noodles, super delicious😍. There is also a Michelin-rated shrimp rice restaurant next door. The first time I ate shaved ice, which has won the Michelin award for four consecutive years.
Shopping Guide: This time I bought THANN, which is used by the Thai royal family and is also the designated business class skin care product of Star 🌟 Airlines
