Wat Ratchaprathit Sathit Maha Simaram Ratchaworawihan is a royal temple that King Rama IV ordered to be built in 1864. The temple is peaceful, there are few people, you can sit and pray and meditate in the royal chapel comfortably. And the beauty of the temple, the mural paintings inside the royal chapel with mother-of-pearl patterns, never seen anywhere before, the wooden door panels, the outer walls of the royal chapel, and the pagoda covered with marble are strangely beautiful.
The wooden panels decorated with mother-of-pearl that have been repaired are not all finished, but the ones that are finished are very beautiful. It is a collaboration between the Fine Arts Department of Thailand and the National Institute of Cultural Heritage Research, Japan.
