Wat Pho (Temple of the Reclining Buddha)

Wat Phra Chetuphon Wimonmangklaram or Wat Pho, Tha Tien, is located on Sanam Chai Road, Phra Borom Maha Ratcha Wang Subdistrict, Bangkok.
It is a long-established temple, similar to the first university in Thailand. It is a center of various knowledge. UNESCO has registered it as a Memory of the World Heritage Site of the Asia-Pacific region and has registered 1,440 inscriptions of Wat Pho as a Memory of the World Heritage Site in the international register.
It is also the temple with the most pagodas in Thailand, with approximately 99 pagodas. Inside is a large and old reclining Buddha. Wat Pho is also considered the origin of Thai massage, which attracts a large number of tourists on both weekends and weekdays.
Open daily from 8:00 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. It is easily accessible by car or boat.
