As someone who visits Thailand three times a year, I’ll explain the various transportation options in Bangkok.

◆ Transportation Options in Bangkok
・MRT 🚃
This is the subway system running within Bangkok. The way to use it is quite similar to Japan, making it a highly reliable choice!

・Boat Taxi 🚢
On the Chao Phraya River, which flows through Bangkok, boat taxis are available. Along the river, you’ll find major attractions like the massive shopping mall ICONSIAM and temples, making it convenient for sightseeing.

・Bus 🚌
A slightly more challenging option, but there are local buses as well. Google Maps provides route guidance, so it might be worth giving it a try!

・Taxi 🚕
Taxis in Bangkok are cheap! That’s why they’re one of the most dependable options. Make sure to download the taxi-hailing app Grab before your trip. Hailing a taxi on the street might require negotiation and could lead to being overcharged, so using Grab is the better choice.

・Tuk-tuk 🛺
When in Thailand, you’ll definitely want to ride a tuk-tuk! It’s recommended to check the fare range on Grab beforehand and negotiate accordingly.

As a side note, I personally never call for a taxi at the airport. Airports are vast, and Bangkok’s traffic congestion is severe. Taking the train (MRT) from the airport is more convenient.
