Bangkok: my discoveries

Solo traveling in Bangkok feels like stepping into your own little adventure. The city adapts to your mood. Craving noise? Head to Khao San Road. Need some peace? Climb up to the Baiyoke Tower or lose yourself in one of the temples. But my recent discovery? Bangkok’s street art.

In the narrow alleys of Chinatown or on the aging walls along Khlong Ong Ang, you’ll find some real masterpieces. Street art here isn’t just decoration—it tells stories: of local life, old markets, and fading traditions. One of my favorite areas is Charoenkrung. Among trendy lofts and street cafes, the walls come alive with vibrant graffiti. Look out for works by the famous Thai artist Alex Face, whose melancholic child character is nothing short of mesmerizing.

Walking around like this, you don’t just see the city—you feel it breathing. It’s the perfect way to spend a solo day—with a camera and a comfortable pair of shoes.
