Come to the century-old royal palace for brunch: Cafe Narasingh at Phayathai Palace in Bangkok

#JanuaryGoodPlace2025

What a romantic experience it would be to have brunch in a century-old royal palace in Bangkok? This time we made a special trip to visit a not very popular tourist attraction, the #PhysThaiPalace built by King Rama VI. Cafe Narasingh is part of the royal palace. It is a very British-style classical building with the atmosphere of a European royal court.

Gorgeous crystal chandeliers, exquisite carved murals, elegant wooden window frames, antiques everywhere, and every corner is great for taking photos! Especially the menu with a leather cover, which has a very vintage feel, and has the royal family crest and totem and buckle design on it, which is very textured.

There are both Western and Thai brunch options. I ordered a simple sandwich and Thai milk. Unfortunately, it was served in a takeaway cup, which didn’t quite match the elegant environment. However, the price was very affordable, so most of the customers were locals with their families.

If you visit on the weekend, you can also sign up for a guided tour of the palace. It's all in Thai and takes two hours, but you can see the entire palace, which is quite an eye-opener.
