After eating so much spicy and fried food in Bangkok, I can finally give my stomach a break today and try Rong Tai Rice Noodle Soup, a popular and affordable delicacy recommended by Michelin Bib Gourmand. When my friend knew I was going to travel to Bangkok, he immediately recommended this restaurant to me. And he specifically asked to eat those with Michelin stickers.
It is conveniently located about 5 minutes walk from BTS Phrom Phong station. When I went there, it had just moved to a bigger shop, right opposite the old shop. The environment is relatively large and cool.
The most famous dish of Rongtai Rice Noodle Soup is the pork rice noodle soup. The soup base is sweet and fresh, and paired with pork balls, pork slices and pork liver, I really understand why so many people recommend it. I personally recommend that you add some fried fish skin. The fish skin is really delicious when soaked in soup! I also added some hot and sour soup, but I personally thought it was too spicy and lost its sweet taste. I think clear soup is the best. Overall, this restaurant is really recommended, cheap and delicious!
