✨️Wat Arun Ratchawararam used to be a temple in the palace during the reign of King Taksin the Great. Even though the capital was moved, it was maintained in every reign.

✨️The ordination hall has outstanding architecture, late Ayutthaya art.

✨️The prang is decorated with glazed tiles, Benjarong plates, bowls and shells. It was built with the belief that it is like Mount Sumeru.

✨️The crown archway at the entrance to the ordination hall has two standing giant statues. The green body is Thotsakan and the white body is Sahasadecha.

✨️There are 6 Chinese pavilions in total.

According to royal tradition, the king will preside over important royal ceremonies of the temple, including granting Kathin robes.

How to get there: Take the Chao Phraya Express Boat to Tha Tien and take a ferry🚤 across the river.
