Tuogu Mosque is located in Tuogu Village, Taoyuan Hui Township, approximately 10 kilometers east of Ludian County, Zhaotong City. Built in 1730, the eighth year of the Yongzheng Emperor's reign, the mosque is surrounded by fertile fields, winding riverbanks, shaded by trees, and nestled among hills beyond the fields, creating a tranquil setting. It is one of the five great ancient temples in Yunnan Province, revered as the ancestral temple in the area, and a key cultural relic protection site in Yunnan Province.
The entire temple is composed of a quadrangle consisting of the main hall, the Awakening Tower, the Wujuan Hall, the rear pavilion, wing rooms, water rooms, and a screen wall. There are more than 30 halls, pavilions, and towers in total. The temple is famous for its unique architectural craftsmanship and long history, and is a provincial key cultural relic protection unit.
