Southeast Asia is often a destination I visit during short holidays, and although Bangkok was a bit rushed, I thoroughly enjoyed my 3-day stay there☺️
For those who are busy but short on time, I recommend this itinerary that I actually followed📝
⭐︎Day 1⭐︎
If you arrive in the afternoon, drop your luggage at the hotel and head to Wat Arun for sunset time🌇
📍158 Thanon Wang Doem, Wat Arun, Bangkok Yai, Bangkok 10600
🚶♀️From Sanam Chai station on the opposite bank, walk about 10 minutes toward the Chao Phraya River to find a great photo spot.
After that, enjoy some Thai cuisine.
Taling Pling, a famous curry restaurant, is a bit pricey but very clean inside. It’s casual yet well-established, making it a great choice for Thai beginners.
The Massaman curry there was the best curry I’ve ever had in my life🍛
📍653 Bld. 7, Bann Silom Arcade, Bang Rak, Bangkok 10500, Thailand
🚶♀️About a 10-minute walk from Saint Louis station.
Since you might be tired from the flight on the first day, you can either rest at the hotel or head out to Bangkok’s unique nightlife districts👍
⭐︎Day 2⭐︎
A classic Bangkok photo spot, Wat Paknam Phasi Charoen, is best visited early in the morning.
It gets crowded during the day, making it hard to take your time for photos😂
📍300, Ratchamongkhon Prasat Alley, Pak Khlong Phasi Charoen, Phasi Charoen, Bangkok 10160
🚶♀️About a 10-minute walk from Bang Phai station.
After that, visit Bangkok’s three major Buddhist tourist spots all in one go:
📍Wat Phra Kaew
📍Wat Pho
📍Wat Arun
Traveling by boat from Wat Pho to Wat Arun is recommended! It’s cheap and takes about 5 minutes, making it very cost-effective👍
For lunch, I recommend Kwan Heng, known as the green Khao Man Gai (chicken rice).
Next door is the pink Khao Man Gai shop.
📍930 Phetchaburi Rd, Makkasan, Phaya Thai, Bangkok 10400, Thailand
🚶♀️About a 15-minute walk from Chit Lom station.
⭐︎Day 3⭐︎
Take a morning walk or grab breakfast again from a nearby street stall🍽️
Bangkok is hot and sunny during the day, but the mornings are cool, so morning walks are recommended☀️
After checking out and before your flight, I suggest getting a Thai massage💆♀️
Foot massages are especially recommended🦶
Relieve your tired feet and get your body ready for the flight✈️
For souvenirs, large supermarkets like BIG C are recommended.
Thai cooking kits are compact and easy to bring back, and they were very well received by friends and family😊
If this makes you think you might be able to do a quick trip too, I’d be happy☺️
