Two important temples from the Rattanakosin era with Buddha images that people commonly come to worship🙏

✨️The Emerald Buddha, or Phra Phuttha Maha Mani Rattana Patimakorn, is the principal Buddha image at Wat Phra Si Rattana Satsadaram. It is a meditation posture Buddha statue in late Lanna art style, seated in the full lotus position, carved from a single piece of green jade. Chao Phraya Chakri, who later became King Rama I, brought it from Vientiane.

✨️The Reclining Buddha at Wat Pho is a Buddha image with beautiful features, especially the mother-of-pearl decoration on the soles of the feet. It is acclaimed as one of the largest and most beautiful reclining Buddhas and is highly revered. It is an important Buddha image symbolizing the nation’s pride. Wat Pho is also part of the tradition of worshipping nine temples, believed to bring peace and happiness.
