Horsamut (หอสมุทร) – Authentic Thai Flavors by the Chao Phraya River

We went with family around 5:30 PM.
We sat in the open and airy second-floor zone, very comfortable seating, beautiful view, and stunning lighting—perfect for special meals or relaxing days with family.

The food here focuses on authentic Thai flavors, bold yet balanced. Every dish is meticulously prepared in both taste and presentation.
The ingredients are fresh and clean, especially the seafood, which is noticeably fresh and bouncy. Here are some of the dishes we ordered:
• Watermelon with dried fish – A refreshing start to the meal. Sweet, juicy watermelon paired with slightly salty crispy dried fish surprisingly goes well together. It’s an appetizer that many at the table loved.
• Ranjawan squid curry – A rare traditional Thai dish. The curry is tangy and rich, with a subtle shrimp paste aroma. The squid is fresh with firm eggs in every piece.
• Golden bags with shrimp and tofu skin – Thin, crispy tofu skin filled with firm shrimp, not greasy. Served hot and delicious without needing any dipping sauce.
• Pineapple fried rice – Wok-fried rice with a fragrant aroma, sweet and slightly sour from fresh pineapple, not soggy.
• Spicy glass noodle salad – A truly authentic Thai spicy salad, perfectly balanced sour, salty, and spicy flavors. Packed with minced pork, shrimp, and Vietnamese pork sausage. Served cold, fitting the cool riverside atmosphere.
• Sautéed shrimp with stink beans – Fresh, bouncy shrimp and fragrant but not overpowering stink beans, stir-fried with a rich, balanced flavor.
• Shrimp shrimp paste chili dip with glasswort leaves – Fully flavorful, the shrimp paste chili dip has a strong but just-right aroma. Served with boiled vegetables, boiled eggs, fresh shrimp, and plenty of glasswort leaves on the side.

The staff service was excellent—friendly, constantly refilling water, attentive without being intrusive, reflecting admirable attention to detail.

💰 Total price: About 3,500 THB (around 700 THB per person)
Worth the quality, fresh ingredients, excellent taste, polite and fast service, plus a premium riverside atmosphere.
