Everyone's heard of Japanese or German magnetic levitation trains. But only in one place in the world can you not only see, but also board a real public Maglev and experience what it's like to be a passenger of the future. That's Shanghai.

My experience began right at Pudong Airport Station (which is very convenient for travelers or those transiting through China). The ride is only seven minutes long, but it makes you rethink the possibilities of humanity. The trains reach a top speed of 431 km/h. "Amusement ride," "technological marvel," or "a tiny journey into the future we've all dreamed of" – call it whatever you like!

The train arrives at Long Yang Road Station, offering convenient access to the city center.
