Photo review and text narration of Don Mueang Airport

- Don Mueang Airport first opened on March 27, 1914.

- After the opening of Suvarnabhumi Airport on September 28, 2006, Don Mueang Airport was converted into a facility for aircraft maintenance, pilot training, and parking for private planes of important individuals.

- However, since March 25, 2007, Don Mueang Airport resumed domestic scheduled flights after encountering several issues at Suvarnabhumi Airport. On October 1, 2012, Don Mueang Airport reopened as the second international airport again, as the government of Yingluck Shinawatra sought to continue the policy of the Abhisit Vejjajiva administration to reduce congestion at Suvarnabhumi Airport. Because of this, Don Mueang Airport is one of the oldest airports in the world and the oldest in Asia still in operation.
