The Jim Thompson House is a cool and quiet cultural gem in the heart of Bangkok. I took the guided tour through the beautifully preserved teakwood house, which is full of Southeast Asian art and fascinating history. The gardens are lush and shady, making it a lovely place to relax in the summer heat. I learned a lot about Thai silk and the mysterious story of Jim Thompson’s disappearance. It’s cultural, peaceful, and really well curated.
