Located near Saladaeng Station and Lumphini Park, a must-visit during your trip to Bangkok, The Cotten Saladaeng Hotel is compact yet clean. I also really like the abundance of restaurants nearby. 😊

💓 Perfect Accessibility for Travelers
The Saladaeng area is centrally located in Bangkok, conveniently located near Saladaeng BTS Station and Silom MRT Station. This area, densely packed with high-rise buildings and offices, is a business hub during the day, and at night, it's a trendy spot with a mix of local charm and upscale rooftop bars. Furthermore, the nearby Lumpini Park makes it a popular retreat for locals and travelers alike.
I often use Trip.com to book hotels abroad. With so few hotels for a family of four, I researched extensively and ultimately chose this hotel. I was a bit apprehensive about staying here because the hotel and pool were small, but after staying there myself, I was completely satisfied. :)
💓 Hotel Check-in & Luggage Storage
It was a 25-minute taxi ride from my first hotel, so I arrived a little early. Check-in was at 2:00 PM, but since it was a weekday, I thought I could check in a little earlier, but cleaning was preventing me. I checked in and requested luggage storage.
An hour of waiting in the lobby was a waste of time, and it was too hot to venture out to Lumpini Park. Instead of going far, I took a break and had a coffee at a cafe next to the hotel. It's now a Thai restaurant, not a cafe.
Guss Damn Good, a delicious gelato place just a minute or two from the hotel, is also a must-visit! We went there on both days. It's on the way to the famous Northeast restaurant, so it's a great place to have dessert.
🏨 Quad room, perfect for a family of four
✅️ Room configuration: 1 king bed, 2 single beds, 1 bathroom & toilet
At check-in, I paid my deposit at the front desk and received my room key and luggage. The elevator is small, but you need to use your card key to operate it.
The hotel itself is small, so finding your room was easy. I was assigned to Quad Room 403, located in the corner next to the pool. It was close to the pool, which made it easy to get back and forth. :)
Open the door and walk straight ahead. There's a small fridge on the wall, along with a side table with hotel water, an electric kettle, coffee, and toilet paper.
💓 Bathroom & Toilet
Turn left and you'll find hangers, towels, a safe, and laundry bags. Next to it is the spacious and comfortable bathroom and toilet.
I really liked the bathroom. I liked the separate shower and toilet, and everything about it was spacious, clean, and comfortable.
Shampoo, body wash, and soap were provided in dispensers, and I liked that it was liquid soap. The scent was pleasant, and my hands didn't feel too dry after washing. There are no disposable amenities, but a toothbrush is provided.
💓 1 King Bed + 1 Single Bed
Turn right again and you'll find the bedroom, which has a king-size bed and a single bed. The layout of the room is a bit unusual, with so many turns, but I like how the entrance and bedroom are separated.
The pristine white and fluffy bedding really caught my eye. For a budget-friendly accommodation in the low 100,000 won range for four people, I was especially impressed with the cleanliness. The bedding isn't damp at all.
There's a desk-like thing by the window. Everything about this room is nice, but since there's no separate dining table, it's nice to utilize this. The large window also keeps it from feeling cramped.
The view isn't great, but the regular shape of the building makes it look like a framed painting, so it's not bad. Still! I can see people in the building opposite from here. It's best to keep the curtains closed for privacy.
💓 1 Single Bed
A king-size bed + 1 single bed. There's another single bed across from the room. It's a two-room, but it's actually a quad. There's a dresser and hangers here. I can hang clothes above, and my suitcase is spread out below.
Because there's no separate door and it's open, I actually liked that I didn't feel scared while sleeping. I hate the dark, though, so I turned on the lights outside the window and lowered the blinds for indirect lighting. Best of all, the soundproofing is excellent. I never felt bothered by noise while staying here. I slept really comfortably.
💓 Swimming Pool
Like people who come to Thailand just to swim, I made sure to check out the pools at every hotel I stayed at. I was glad I only booked hotels with pools.
The pool was right next to my room, room 403, so it was convenient to shower in the room and go back and forth whenever I needed. It's a small pool, but it has a shower room, body towels, sunbeds, and everything you need. Best of all, I loved the shade!
The pool is 120 meters deep. While it's a good depth for adults, I was worried my little one might be scared. Fortunately, thanks to the small size of the pool, he was able to swim with his arm tube and enjoy himself to the fullest. :)
The pool is small, so when it gets crowded, you have to be careful about who you go to. So, you have to be smart and plan your time so you can have privacy!
🏨 The Cotton Saladaeng Overall Review
🔹️It's a small, four-story hotel, but the cleanliness is a plus. 🔸️There's only one elevator, so it's not convenient when there are a lot of people.
🔹️There's enough room for four people and two suitcases.
🔸️It's a shame there aren't tables or disposable slippers.
🔹️The small pool is great for kids.
🔸️However, it's a bit cramped for swimming together when there are a lot of people.
🔹️Lumpine Park is 5 minutes away.
🔹️Silom MRT Station is 10 minutes away, and Saladaeng BTS Station is 15 minutes away.
🔹️Northeast, a popular Korean hangout, is 2 minutes away.
🔹️There's a local massage place 1 minute away, and Sooksabai Massage is 5 minutes away.
⚠️Good to know!
Sala Daeng gets crowded during lunchtime, so we recommend making reservations or arriving early for popular restaurants.
Saladang has a completely different atmosphere during the day and at night, giving it a unique charm. I love enjoying Saladang day and night.
