Yamachan, an izakaya where the fried chicken is incredibly delicious.

The full name of the restaurant is Sekai no Yamachan, the No. 1 izakaya in Nagoya. Our first visit was at Charn at the Avenue, our first time with a large group of five.

The restaurant offers a wide variety of delicious appetizers. For example, the shrimp cream croquettes cost 140 baht for two pieces, and the deep-fried pork skewers cost 120 baht. There were so many more, it was hard to decide what to order.

Menu I tried:
The shrimp and vegetable tempura was 230 baht. I particularly liked the oyster mushroom tempura. The tempura was piping hot, and the mushrooms were bouncy. Next time, I'm thinking of ordering the mushroom tempura alone for 130 baht, without the mushrooms.

A must-try is the Yamachan-style fried chicken. I ordered almost 20 wings. The wings were piping hot, and the seasoning was sprinkled all over. The peppery flavor was so delicious. You could pull the bones off with a little tug, and you'd get a ton of meat. There's also a silver bowl next to it for scraps.
