🏘Wat Kunnathirutharam, or Wat Huai Khwang, has no definitive construction history. However, it is said that Nang Klai, whose last name is unknown, was the first to donate land for the construction. Mr. Fon Sueasat later donated additional land in 1885.
🏕Later in 1961, various temple buildings were renovated and a new ubosot (ordination hall) was built. The temple received the Royal Charter of the Visungkhamasima (ordination hall) in 1969.
Highlights of the temple include:
🏠The ubosot (ordination hall) is a traditional Thai style with a tiled roof and brick and mortar walls. However, the pillars are made of wood, and the upper part is entirely made of wood. This was the work of the villagers who worked together. This results in different construction styles in each section, such as the doors, windows, and pediments.
🙏🏽 Inside the temple, there are pavilions housing several important Buddha images in various postures, as well as replicas of Luang Pu Pan, Rahu, Guan Yin, and Ganesha.
