Requesting blessings from Luang Por Phra Phuttha Sophon

🏘 Wat Mai Yai Nui was established around 1891 by Yai Nui and Mae Chi Chan, who were relatives. They donated the land and oversaw the construction of the temple, naming it Wat Yai Nui to honor Yai Nui.
🙏🏽 Later, the temple received royal permission for consecration in 1902 and was renamed Wat Mai Bang Nang Nong, before eventually being changed to Wat Mai Yai Nui, as it is known today.

Key attractions and significant features within the temple include:
🏠 The ordination hall, built around 1902, houses the principal Buddha image, Phra Phuttha Rattanasirisasada, with a walking Buddha statue placed in front.
⛺ A small vihara, which enshrines Luang Por Phra Phuttha Sophon, along with various Buddha images and statues of renowned Thai monks.
