Atmosphere: Wat Pho is an ancient temple with a long history and is renowned both in Thailand and abroad. It's located near Wat Phra Kaew and the Grand Palace, making it an easy walk away. The temple grounds are spacious and surrounded by a variety of Buddhist structures, including the Ubosot (ordination hall), the Vihara (wihan), the main chedi, and smaller chedis, all lined up around the temple grounds. They're decorated with colorful and delicate glazed tiles, creating a truly beautiful and delicate atmosphere. Walking around the temple grounds, you'll see Buddha images in almost every corner. The atmosphere is also shady with large trees and small gardens throughout.
Highlight: The reclining golden Buddha is the most striking feature of Wat Pho. Measuring nearly 50 meters long, it's incredibly beautiful and imposing, making it a must-see. Another must-see is the Four Reigns Chedi. Each statue features a unique color scheme, including green, yellow, white, and blue. The vibrant colors are beautiful and photogenic from every angle.
