Visit Changxi Village to enjoy its preserved Hui-style architecture, walk among maple forests during autumn, pick tea with local farmers in spring, photograph the village framed by red leaves and white walls, and soak in the tranquil rural atmosphere.

Changxi Village is located in Fuchun Town, on the east bank of the Qin River, on flat terrain. The village headquarters is located in Changxi, 3.5 kilometers from Pingshan Village. In the second year of Kaiyun (945) during the Later Jin Dynasty of the Five Dynasties and Ten Kingdoms period, Lai Tao moved here from Guantou Pond, a nearby village. The original riverbank was densely populated with long, solid bamboo, earning it the name Shizhuba. After the construction of the ancestral hall, the village was renamed Changxi due to its proximity to the Qin River.
The county is located in the mid-subtropics and has the characteristics of the East Asian monsoon zone. It has a mild climate, abundant rainfall, a short frost period, and distinct four seasons.
The mountains in the area are undulating and have different directions. Due to the frequent clouds and rainy days, the high mountains block the light and the trees provide shade, so the number of sunshine hours varies greatly from place to place. The southwestern townships have more sunshine hours than the northeastern townships, and the plains and low hills have more sunshine hours than the mountainous areas.
Autumn: From mid-to-late November to early December, crimson leaves clamor for a vibrant display on mountaintops and in valleys, creating a vibrant atmosphere reminiscent of a shimmering crimson glow. The contrast between the grayish-white houses and the maple forests creates a unique autumnal scene in Wuyuan's countryside. Winter: From late December to January, the cold weather sets in, coating fallen leaves and dead trees with a layer of hoarfrost, creating a chilling chill. The tall trees around the village, stripped bare, resemble rows of guards, a majestic spectacle. Heavy snowfalls occur every winter, and at this time, the snowy mountains and the villagers coexist harmoniously, creating a world of white.
Spring: From February to March, the ground is filled with the fragrance of orchids, and the mountains are ablaze with spring colors. The mountains are clear because of the water, and the water is alive because of the mountains. Everywhere is filled with the spirit of spring. Rapeseed flowers and azaleas are in full bloom.
Spring and Summer: From March to June, tea picking is very popular everywhere. You can go up the mountain with tea farmers to pick tea, pick the tea yourself, make it yourself, and taste the tea you have made. The fragrance of the tea is so refreshing.
Summer: From May to September, the water flows clear and the fish are busy looking for food. You can go swimming in the crystal clear river, bring your fishing net, cast a few nets, and drink delicious fish soup in the evening. There is a very beautiful scenic spot not far from the village called "Chongli", with mountain springs and waterfalls, birds singing and flowers blooming. Bring your camera and you will be amazed by the beauty.
Tsinghua (by car) - Yanqian (on foot) - Changxi: Take a bus from the direction of Tsinghua and get off at Milestone 46 on Highway 46. There's a small house on the side of the road, and a mountain road next to it, which you can walk to Changxi. The driver knows the exit. The entire journey is 7 kilometers and takes about two hours.
