🙏🙏🙏 Wat Pak Nam Phasi Charoen, Bangkok🙏🙏🙏

Wat Pak Nam is a third-class royal temple, common type, located in the Bangkok lowlands, part of the Chao Phraya River delta, along the Bangkok Yai Canal. Since the temple is located at the mouth of Khlong Dan, which branches off from Khlong Bang Luang, the temple's name was given to it, Wat Pak Nam, based on its location. This name appears in historical records, but a different name was found on a 1910 map of Bangkok, Wat Samuttharam. However, it was not popularly known as Wat Pak Nam, and it remains known today.

✅ Phra Maha Chedi Maha Ratchamongkol
The Phra Maha Chedi Maha Ratchamongkol is enshrined prominently within the temple.

Wat Pak Nam is built in the Thai architectural style, featuring a square base with recessed corners. This chedi combines elements of the Rattanakosin and Lanna periods, reaching a height of
80 meters and divided into five levels.

✅ Phra Buddha Dhammakaya Thepmongkol
This bronze Buddha image in the meditation posture, with a lotus bud on its top, measures 40 meters across and 69 meters high. It sits alongside the Phra Maha Ratchamongkol Chedi, constructed from pure copper.

The main features of the chedi include a golden heart and a seven-tiered lotus containing the Buddha's relics.

✅ The Ho Trai (Tripitaka Hall)
This ancient structure dates back to the Ayutthaya period. It measures
4 wa (12.5 feet) wide by 6 wa (12.5 feet) long, nestled in a pond measuring 7 wa (12.5 feet) long by 5 wa (12.5 feet) wide. The entire structure is carved from wood, with a magnificent gable roof. Documents from the request for royal permission for the restoration during the reign of King Rama V have been found, preserving the original design.

The temple grounds also include shops, restaurants, and a cafe. Importantly, admission to the temple is free.
