2. Dressing Guide
✅You can choose simple white or light-colored clothing to contrast sharply with the golden Buddha, making the picture clean and beautiful.
✅If you want to have a more Thai style, you can also wear traditional Thai costumes to take photos in a very atmospheric way.
❌Avoid wearing revealing, overly bright or strange clothing, and respect the culture and regulations of religious places.
3. Transportation
1. BTS: Take the BTS to Wutthakat Station, exit from Exit 4, and walk for about 15-20 minutes. You can also experience the street view of Bangkok along the way, but be sure to wear sunscreen.
2. MRT: Take the MRT to Bang Phai Station, exit at Exit 1, and walk for about 15 minutes. Sometimes there are motorcycle taxis at the intersection, which can take you to the vicinity of the temple for about 10 baht.
3. Take a taxi: Use Grab or Bolt taxi apps, which are convenient and fast and can take you directly to the vicinity of the temple, but please note that there may be traffic jams during peak hours.
4. Must-visit photo spots
4. The Big Buddha in the alley: Navigate to 60 Phetkasem 15 Alley, Lane 9, Watthaphra, Bangkokyai, Bangkok 10160. You can take a close-up photo with the Big Buddha here, which is very photogenic. However, the wires may affect the picture a bit.
5. Big Buddha by the water: Navigate to 796 Soi Thoet Thai 26. The view is superb. You can also choose to take a boat ride to take photos with the Big Buddha. The boat ride costs about 200 baht per person. Ask the boatman to take you to the temple for a visit or to the BTS station for the return trip.
6. Coffee shop terrace: At Talat Phlu coffee shop, the second and third floor terraces offer a view of the Big Buddha. The view is absolutely beautiful at sunset. You can order a drink and go up to the third floor to take photos.
7. At the foot of the Giant Buddha in the temple: Walk into the temple, look up at the Giant Buddha, and feel the shock. At the same time, it is very interesting to take close-up photos of people with the Giant Buddha as the background.
8. White Pagoda: The White Pagoda in the temple is also worth a visit. There is a green glazed tower on the top floor, which is very unique for taking photos. Remember to take off your shoes before entering.
5. Tips for taking photos
9. After 3:30 p.m.: The light is better for photographing the Buddha from the front, as it is backlit in the morning.
10. Use the foreground: such as flowers on the roadside, door frames of temples, etc. to increase the sense of depth in photos
