Wat Yannawa | The only Sampao pagoda in Thailand 🌿

Wat Yannawa, an ancient temple on Charoen Krung Road, is both beautiful and historically significant. The highlight is the "Phra Chedi Ruea Samphao," the only Chinese junk-shaped chedi in Thailand. 🇹🇭 It was built during the reign of King Rama III to remind later generations of the importance of junks as the heart of trade in the past.

Walking into the temple grounds, you'll see a large junk standing tall with two chedis atop it. The beauty and grandeur of the ships are so stunning, you won't be able to resist snapping photos. 📸
Nearby is the ancient Ubosot (ordination hall) housing the "Phra Phuttha Si Sanphet," a significant Buddha image brought from Ayutthaya by King Rama I. What many may not know is that Wat Yannawa is also a "center for sacred relics" from across the country, enshrined within the "Ho Phra That," a sacred space. Photography is strictly prohibited inside. To truly appreciate the power of faith, you must see it with your own eyes and your own heart. 💫
