Wat Thipphawariwihan was built during the Thonburi period and was originally a Vietnamese temple. King Taksin the Great granted land on the eastern bank of the Chao Phraya River, or Phra Nakhon side, for the Vietnamese to live in. This area, known as "Baan Yuan," is an ancient temple that has been in Bangkok for at least 200 years. No need to go all the way to Hong Kong, you can come here instead to perform a ritual to change your fate with the "Windmill for Changing Fate." There's also a "God of Fortune Changing" statue, "Lord Green Dragon," which transforms bad luck into good luck. This temple, which corresponds with the Year of the Snake, is highly recommended for those interested in Muay Thai.
Location: 119 Soi Thipphawari, Wang Burapha Phirom Subdistrict, Phra Nakhon District, Bangkok 10200
Opening Hours: 6:00 AM - 4:00 PM
