Grand Hyatt Erawan Bangkok

Review of a villa in the heart of the city that barely feels like Bangkok.
I stayed again this year in a Garden Villa King, one of only six rooms in the entire hotel. It's located on the 5th floor, directly connected to the pool, fitness center, and spa, all just a few steps away. I was lucky enough to get a villa on the other side, so it wasn't connected to anyone else. It was completely private, and there was only one room on the other side, with a separate walkway.

The villa itself is 130 square meters and includes a bedroom, living room, bathroom, steam room, private massage room, and a private balcony for relaxing. It's incredibly shady.

The entertainment system is fully equipped, including an Apple TV box for easy iPhone screen casting. There are three TVs, and a Bose Bluetooth speaker to perfectly compete with the BTS Skytrain.

The bath amenities are from Balmain, a brand from Paris, with a sweet, light scent. Overall, it's good. They come in pump bottles, so you don't have to call the housekeeping for refills.

All the water in the refrigerator is free, including two large bottles of mineral water of a well-known brand used in hotel restaurants, plus eight cans of soft drinks. If that's not enough, head up to the Club Lounge for more.
Plate and bowls are provided in several sets.
You really don't need to touch the common areas of the hotel, aside from the restaurant and swimming pool, because the villa has everything you need.

There's a downside to this room: the villa itself is located directly parallel to the BTS Skytrain tracks. Of course, you can hear the train noise all day, but the hotel provides earplugs, ensuring a good night's sleep. During the day, turning on the TV or music in the room can help greatly. However, if you really need quiet, I recommend booking a room in the upper building.

Booking this room also includes Club benefits, including private check-in on the 17th floor and complimentary drinks all day long.

The Club Lounge is renowned for its generous servings of drinks, and the evening meal at the Club Lounge was so satisfying that I didn't even have to go anywhere else for dinner.

The service provided by the Club Lounge staff was also excellent.

Breakfast can be enjoyed at the Club Lounge on the 17th floor or downstairs. I chose downstairs because there's a much wider selection, but if you prefer a quieter atmosphere, the Club might be better.

The breakfast selection is so extensive, you won't be able to decide what to order.

Overall, the service was good. Even though there were very few Thai guests staying, I haven't seen any Thais at the Club since my stay. However, I still received the same service as foreigners.
