Review of the National Museum: A relaxing day full of knowledge

#GetDiscountsWithoutLuck

On this trip, two friends and I went to the National Museum, Bangkok. Our primary goal was to pay homage to the Ganesha statue enshrined inside for good fortune before we began exploring the various exhibition buildings.

The atmosphere inside was peaceful and relaxing, making us feel like we were "connected to the past," but not as boring as many people think. We slowly walked through the archaeology zone, the history of the kingdom, and the art zones from the Ayutthaya and Rattanakosin periods. The easy-to-read signs provided a clearer understanding of each era.

Our favorite zone was the pottery zone, displaying both ancient patterned containers and information on pottery production throughout the ages. The development of craftsmanship was truly remarkable. The more we walked, the more we realized that Thai art was more delicate and fascinating than we had ever imagined.

The entrance fee for Thais is only 30 baht, making it incredibly worthwhile. You can explore many buildings and zones, take your time, chat, share perspectives with friends, and leave with knowledge, peace of mind, and inspiration.

If you're in Bangkok or only have half a day, give the museum a try. You'll discover that "things close to the nation" are more fascinating than you might think. 🌿📚
