Tengchong Volcanic Geopark, located in Tengchong and Lianghe counties in southwestern Yunnan Province, is one of my country's four major volcanic clusters. It comprises 97 Cenozoic volcanic piles, covering an area of 221.36 square kilometers. Its unique geological structure has created a unique volcanic landscape characterized by "nine out of ten mountains have no head." The park boasts a large, concentrated distribution of volcanic cones, lava fields, volcanic lakes, dammed waterfalls, and columnar joints, each of which is diverse and well-preserved. The park is the largest and most complete volcanic area in China, offering both scientific research and scenic value, earning it the nickname "Volcanic Geology Museum."
The tropical monsoon climate combines the advantages of continental and maritime climates. Winter and spring are sunny and warm, while summer and autumn have a mix of sunny and rainy weather and are cool and pleasant. All four seasons are suitable for travel.
