Small Temple | Wat Ratchabophit, the temple of love 🌿

Amidst the tranquility of the royal cemetery... at Wat Ratchabophit Sathit Maha Simaram, Phra Nakhon District, Bangkok

there is the "Vihara Noi," an ancient pavilion filled with stories of love and gratitude among the royal families of the Chakri Dynasty. 🌿

⛪️ This building, designed in a blend of classical and modern Thai styles, has been used for royal merit-making ceremonies throughout the reigns. It was also a temporary classroom at Wat Ratchabophit Secondary School in the past.

Currently, it houses the royal ashes of "His Royal Highness Prince of Chumphon Khet Udomsak," a beloved Thai monarch and "protector of the Thai seas." ⚓️

It also houses the remains and ashes of the royal family. It is also a part of several royal families, including the Aphakorn, Suriyong, and Bunnag families.

💐 The "Little Temple" is open to the public only once a year.

October 23 (Chulalongkorn Day)

It is a day to commemorate the benevolence of King Rama V and to express gratitude for the kindness of "His Majesty the King," who remains in the hearts of all his subjects.
