💮Wat Arun Ratchawararam Ratchaworamahawihan (Wat Chaeng) is an ancient temple built in the Ayutthaya period. It is the home of the Emerald Buddha, which was invited from Vientiane. It is the temple of King Rama II and was given the name "Wat Arun Ratchatharam". The royal remains of King Phutthaloetla Naphalai were invited to be enshrined in the Buddha seat of the principal Buddha image in the ordination hall. There is a prang decorated with glazed tiles, Benjarong bowls and shells, and there is a giant statue. Wat Chaeng is located on the banks of the Chao Phraya River, opposite Wat Pho.
💮How to get there: From BTS, get off at Saphan Taksin Station. Take the Chao Phraya Express Boat and get off at Wat Arun.
