The Anhui Celebrity Museum, located in the Shushan Scenic Area in the western suburbs of Hefei, is China's first exhibition hall dedicated to local celebrities, the largest holographic multimedia exhibition hall, and the only high-tech acoustic and optoelectronic exhibition hall in the country. The first phase of the Anhui Celebrity Museum showcases 50 influential Anhui historical figures from prehistoric times to the Qing Dynasty .
The figures are made of lifelike wax figures, and the exhibition uses film techniques and the latest high-tech means such as sound, light, electricity, and multimedia to show the style and major deeds of celebrities. By showcasing outstanding figures in Anhui history, the exhibition showcases their significant contributions to the development of Anhui, China, and even humanity, and reflects the beautiful image of Anhui as a place of great natural resources and outstanding people.
The entire exhibition hall integrates knowledge, fun, entertainment, and participation, and is an important base for patriotic education. The museum houses a rich collection of over 210,000 cultural relics, specimens, and ancient books , making it a nationally renowned museum.
The main exhibits include the large-scale " History of Anhui Civilization " series, covering 2,400 square meters. These series cover ten themes: Hexian Ape-Man, Neolithic Culture, Jianghuai Han Dynasty Stone Reliefs, Four Treasures of the Study, Ancient Porcelain Collection, Huizhou Ancient Architecture, Xin'an Poetry and Painting, Huizhou School Woodblock Prints, and Historical Celebrities . The exhibition also covers over 200 square meters of " Paleontological Fossils , " and boasts a unique collection of over 4,000 works by Pan Zhang Yuliang , known as the " Prostitute Painter . " Films and television series based on this theme, such as "Painting Soul," have become internationally popular.
