Boat noodles and Thailand go hand in hand, and when we think of boat noodles, Victory Monument is the place to go.

As per its namesake, boat noodles were originally sold in small bowls on boats, along the Samsen canal beside Victory Monument some 50 years ago.

However, there are many places with good boat noodles now and Thong Smith is one of them. Thongsmith is well liked and patronised by both locals and tourists.

Good thing is, Thong Smith can be found in central Bangkok and in most of the popular shopping districts like Siam Paragon, Central Embassy, Ari etc.

I visited the Central World outlet. It had a queue time of 30 mins during dinner time on a weekday, for a table of 4.

The interior of Thong Smith has dark wooden Thai accent and is clean and spacious. There were many staffs and they were efficient, attentive and can communicate in English effectively.

Dining utensils had wrapper to ensure cleanliness. Different types of condiments were given on every table too.

We ordered most of their signature dishes. Thumbs up
to their Wagyu beef soup noodles, premium meat with very affordable price tag. We personally prefer the beef noodles to pork noodles. Pork crackling was super crunchy, flavourful and fragrant. Soup broth was thick and flavourful.
