Daxigou Township is located in the northern part of Huocheng County, Ili Kazakh Autonomous Prefecture, Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, 50 km from the county border. Covering 252.7 square kilometers, it is a typical temperate zone, home to a wide distribution of wild cherry plums, earning it the title "Hometown of Wild Cherry Plums in China."
There are countless small streams that converge into the Daxigou River. The river is winding and has mountains on both sides.
Fushou Mountain in Daxigou is home to the only rare species unique to Asia, the wild sour plum (scientific name: Prunus cernua), and is also one of the areas with the most concentrated distribution of wild fruit forests in Huocheng.
In spring, flowers bloom all over the valley, and in autumn, fruits cover the mountainside. When the flowers turn red and the fruits ripen, it is a paradise for birds and animals.
