InterContinental Group's High-Quality Chinese Aesthetic Hotel

📍Address: Shenzhen Bao'an Kingkey Hualuxe Hotel, 4560 Bao'an Avenue, Xixiang Street, Shenzhen

🏖️Environment/Facilities:
A rare modern Chinese aesthetic hotel with a traditional Chinese style. It's about a half-hour taxi ride from Shenzhen Bay Port. The entrance is surrounded by bamboo groves, offering privacy. Nearby, there are residential complexes under the Kingkey Group, with plenty of dining options. I tried a Chaoshan noodle shop nearby—the beef, beef balls, and shrimp cakes were absolutely amazing! Downstairs at the hotel, there's also my favorite soup therapy spot. It's very convenient to take a taxi to the nearby Mei KTV.

💞Reasons to Recommend:
As soon as you enter the main entrance, it feels like stepping into an art gallery. The lobby features deep gray tones accented with floral decorations, giving guests an artistic perspective as they proceed to the check-in counter. The front desk staff are very polite and provide a simple introduction to the hotel's facilities and dining times. According to a YouTuber, each staff member's name tag has a unique name that reflects the hotel's different concepts and stories—quite thoughtful!

On the other side of the lobby is a tea room and café lounge, which has a great vibe. Staff perform tea ceremonies, and you can taste the tea immediately (you'll also find a set of tea utensils and four types of tea leaves in the room for self-brewing).

I purchased a package that included a one-night stay in a double room, hotel breakfast, and dinner. The buffet dinner exceeded my expectations, offering a variety of cuisines, including steamed seafood, dim sum, cold dishes, salads, noodles, and a sashimi bar that was very generous! The dessert bar had many options, with cakes that looked and tasted great. My favorite was the DIY ice jelly station! The ice cream flavors were unique and of exceptional quality. To top it off, they surprised us with foie gras and caviar for each guest—melts in your mouth and definitely not cheap stuff!

After eating, I headed to the gym for a workout. The gym is well-equipped, and the air conditioning is excellent! The indoor swimming pool isn't very large, but it has a sauna, though some facilities could use improvement.

Overall, spending around 1,000 HKD for a two-day, one-night staycation for two people at this location is an excellent choice!
