Detailed guide to China Paleozoological Museum (Baoding Natural History Museum)

Baoding Paleozoological Museum:
[Heart] The largest ancient animal museum in Asia;
[Heart] has the world’s only Sinoraptor skeleton specimen;
[Heart] One of the very few three-dimensionally preserved Tianshan Hami pterosaur eggs in the world;
[Heart] Mamenchisaurus with the longest neck

🎫Ticket reservation:
There are three ways to enter the museum:
1. Make an appointment for the "Permanent Exhibition" through the official account. This method is free! But it’s really hard to make an appointment. Make an appointment for the morning of the 8th day at 7 am, and make an appointment for the afternoon of the 8th day at 7 pm (for example, make an appointment for the ticket for the next Tuesday morning at 7 am on Tuesday, and make an appointment for the ticket for the next Tuesday afternoon at 7 pm on Tuesday).
2. Scan the QR code to purchase the guided tour app, which includes the ticket for the day! This method costs 15 yuan per person.
3. What should I do if I cannot make an appointment using the first two methods? There is also a third way, which is to book a ticket for a "temporary exhibition", which includes the permanent exhibition. The current temporary exhibition has 68 seats.

Opening hours:
Tuesday to Sunday 9:00-17:00 (Closed on Mondays)

Tour route:
The entire exhibition hall is divided into five parts:
Pulse of the Earth ➡️ Ancient Ocean ➡️ Dinosaur Empire ➡️ Mammal Birth ➡️ Extinction

I would especially like to introduce the last exhibition hall, which displays more than 60 kinds of extinct animals. Biological invasions and illegal hunting have caused these lives to disappear forever. I felt heavy-hearted and regretful after seeing them. Protecting the diversity of life species is a long and arduous task.

Notice:
[Love] One account can only make a reservation (you can make a reservation with your father, mother, grandfather, or grandmother’s account 🥹),
[Love] No reservation is required for those under 6 years old
[Love] You must bring your mainland China ID card or social security card to enter the museum directly. Children can bring their social security card and household registration page. (If you don’t bring any of them, don’t worry, you can take a screenshot with your phone and go to the service center to exchange for a paper ticket)
[Love] One-time purchase is valid for 12 hours. You can buy the ticket on the day. If you buy it in advance, it will expire.

suggestion:
[Cute] If the child is relatively small, you can push the stroller. The road is easy to walk on. You can take the escalator to the second floor.
[Cute] In the museum, except for drinking water, no snacks or fruits are allowed. Children should eat a full meal in advance. There are vending machines (mainly water and beverages) inside. There is a restaurant after leaving the museum.
[Cute] Stamping: There are 3 stamps at the Visitor Service Center, on the table on the left near the lockers, you can bring your own carrier to stamp
[Cute] The second-floor exhibition halls currently open are Halls 1, 3, and 5. Hall 2 also has stairs, which are not open at the moment. These second floors are not connected, so don't miss them.
