CaixaForum Barcelona offers a wide range of exhibitions through the year inside a renovated red-brick building dating back to the beginning of 20th century
The space, formerly known as Casaramona, was built
between 1909-1912 by architect Josep Puig i Cadafalch, to host a textile factory ili
In 2002,financial entity La Caixa owns it, as CaixaForum a space devoted to arts and culture
Entrance to the building is free of charge - access to the exhibitions is charged separately - and totally worth visiting
You can take the stairs to the second floor and get on the rooftop for an aerial view of the construction.
Also you should not miss the restaurant/cafeteria, it has a nice little patio where the greenery of plants blend beautifully with the red-brick walls
