Come see Casa Vicens, the first residential house designed by Gaudí

Built between 1883 and 1885, Casa Vicens 💗was Gaudí's first residential home. Merchant Manuel Vicens commissioned Gaudí to design this artistically inspired summer retreat for his family.

Although this was Gaudí's first major project, his exceptional architectural talent is evident both inside and out. 🥰 The stunning indoor terrace! They even have a fountain; sitting on it and listening to the trickling water is incredibly chill! The water actually comes from stored rainwater. 💗

There's also a unique smoking room with an Arabian-style ambiance. The blue roof resembles the sky, and the butterfly-flower decorations are incredibly dreamy! 😛 It's hard to imagine this was once a place where men would gather to chat and talk.

Casa Vicens and Park Güell are very close, so you can plan a visit together.
