Spain 🇪🇸 Travel to Barcelona with Renfe

We decided to base our trip to Japan in Madrid, so we booked a round-trip ticket with Renfe to Barcelona, a city we'd love to visit. 🚄

I hope this experience helps! 📝

⭐️ Inside the station ⭐️

The electronic platform signs indicate two different platforms:

PLANTA PRIMERA (escalator down from ground floor)

PLANTA BAJA (one more escalator down).

Today, we were heading to Barcelona Sants Station on PRIMERA.

We headed to security. 🧳

From there, we were at the departure gate waiting area.
✅Free restrooms available
✅Shop available

⭐️ Boarding ⭐️

The gate signs started displaying about 20 minutes before departure, and we boarded five minutes later.

Although we boarded quickly, the space for large luggage was already full. ☝️

Fortunately, we had reserved a silent car, which was the same price,

The front seat had ample legroom and we could even place a large suitcase. 👍
Considering the risk of suitcase theft, It's safe! 😮💨

⭐️In-flight Entertainment⭐️

You can connect to free Wi-Fi using the number under the ticket QR code. ☝️
However, you can't access optional services like free movies...

Enjoy the beautiful scenery from the train window. ♪

🕰️Travel Time: Approximately 2.5-3 hours

💰Price per person: Starting at around 20€

🏖️Atmosphere/Amenities: On-board restroom
The air conditioning wasn't too harsh, so no winter gear was needed.

💞Recommended: Compared to airplanes, where passengers with more than carry-on baggage incur an additional fee,
You can choose your train based on the amount of luggage you have. The fact that it departs and arrives at city stations is appealing. 🎯
