Bamboo Train at Battambang

The bamboo train is a simple invention based on local wisdom. It is made by cutting bamboo to create a woven platform for seating, connecting it to a set of metal wheels, and attaching a modified boat engine. It runs along old railway tracks, transporting goods and people over short distances since the end of the civil war. Starting from the old railway station from the era when trains were thriving, it travels to villages, crossing canals and fields along the way. The moderate speed makes the journey exciting and thrilling throughout. At the destination, there are villages with souvenir shops to explore.
