🇲🇾 Kuala Lumpur. Part 3: A city that doesn’t try to impress — and that’s exactly its strength 🌆

So I made it to Batu Caves, home of the iconic rainbow stairs and the towering golden Lord Murugan statue — but plot twist: I didn’t climb the stairs. 😅
And you know what? Still totally worth it.
I admired the colors, soaked up the vibes, took a million photos pretending I might climb... and then treated myself to fresh coconut water instead. Priorities.
Quick Info:
📍 Location: Gombak, Selangor (30 mins from KL city)
🕒 Opening Hours: Daily, 6AM – 9PM
🎟️ Entrance Fee: Free (Main temple cave is free; other caves may charge a small fee)
👟 Stair Count (for reference): 272. I personally climbed… none. 😌
📸 Photo Spots: The golden statue, colorful stairs, pigeons on point, and coconut stalls!
Batu Caves isn’t just about the climb — it’s about the atmosphere, the culture, the monkeys (watch your snacks!), and the chill spiritual energy.
So yes, I went to Batu Caves. No regrets, no stairs, still a vibe.
