Tongchuan People's Park is located on the banks of the Qishui River on the south side of Qiyi Road in Tongchuan City. It was built in the 1970s (1977) and covers an area of 25.54 hectares, of which Ming Lake covers an area of about 1 hectare and green land exceeds 20 hectares. The park has more than a dozen recreational projects including a zoo, flower nursery, water entertainment, roller skating rink, racing car, children's playground, mountain off-road vehicle, dance hall, music tea show, etc. It is a comprehensive park that provides leisure, entertainment and exercise for citizens.

Embracing a spirit of hard work, innovation, and forge ahead, the people of Tongchuan took matters into their own hands and built Tongchuan People's Park, the first public recreational destination, on a rocky beach and barren grassy slope.
